When you eat at the Saguaro Food Truck Academy, you're not just grabbing a bite – you're supporting dreams in action through one of our Workforce Development initiatives!

At the Sahuarita Food Bank, we are passionate about Workforce Development and helping members of our community develop the skills necessary to get them into high(er) paying careers. The Saguaro Food Truck Academy is one of those programs designed to turn people into business owners!

This food truck acts as a mobile classroom where aspiring entrepreneurs learn the ropes of the food business. Every delicious meal you enjoy helps fuel someone's journey to success! Our student chefs are cooking up amazing food while building the skills and savings they need to launch their own food truck empires.

So dig in and feel good about it – your lunch is helping create the next generation of local food entrepreneurs. Plus, you get to discover exciting new flavors as our rotating team of future food truck owners showcase their signature dishes!

Our aim is quality outcomes, not quantity of outputs. Through this program, we hope to get at least 2 new businesses in the community per year.

    Javier came to us with a strong culinary background and a dream. His passion is cooking and he loves to put his own spin on classic French dishes. Javier hopes to go from working multiple jobs to owning his own food truck within a year. With the support of the Saguaro Food Truck Academy, we hope to help him get there!
