During your training, you will learn the ins and outs of owning a food truck from conception to purchasing your own truck. The ideal student will already have some cooking experience and the drive to start their own business. We can work with you on your schedule. The class is 300 hours and we can go at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Our Classes

Throughout the program we will have different coaching sessions by various professionals who will guide you through the process of owning your own business. Most of the sessions will be one on one, to get you the information that is pertinent to you and your unique experience. We will never have a class just to have a class. Every session will be built for your specific needs. Classes include the below topics.

  • Learn how to promote your business through social media and other forms of advertising. We will help you build a website and offer suggestions for logos. Our aim is to have your business built and a fan base acquired before you buy your own truck.

  • Classes brought to us by Shamrock Foods, Vantage West and other professionals. We will also help you get connected with people who can help finance your own truck.

  • The Town of Sahuarita will come for one on one sessions to help you get your business license and let you know what other paperwork you need to operate in the town. We will get you ServSafe Manager certified (if needed). We will also walk you through all of the paperwork and inspection process with Pima County Health Department, help obtain a commissary kitchen and talk through insurance policies.

  • These classes are taught by financial experts and CPA’s who will coach you on how to track and file taxes properly.

  • We will test your concept in the real world and see how to tweak your menu to make selling your food on a truck efficient!

  • Get on a truck and start working to see if you like it! We will get on the truck very early on in the series to ensure that working in the harsh conditions of a food truck is something you might enjoy doing!

  • Intern on one of our partner trucks to learn new methods and how other people run their businesses! We can only give you so much experience, and learning from several different people is always beneficial.
